For some people, the content of their nightmares often are filled with typically macabre images of darkness, horror, and scary monsters. My own nightmares tend to be a bit less traditional, not about mental blackouts and scary monsters but rather containing precarious and inescapable circumstances and suggestions of impending doom. The sublime awareness of rising tides that intend to swallow up the entire shoreline, or a classic childhood fever induced perpetual walk on giant moving grease laden gears. Here then is a mix attempting to convey these ideas in sound and in some cases words, the juxtaposition of seemingly harmless melodies with relentless rhythms, together convey a prevailing fear. Welcome to my nightmare.

“get your roll on”
Women’s Flat Track Derby is an emerging national and international sports phenomena that promotes and fosters the development of athletic ability, sportswomanship, and goodwill.
On this night 7 members of the Boston Derby Dames league dropped in to WMBR’s Nite Owl slot to join DJ Teep. The guests, Harley Quinn, Claire D. Way, Harlot Fevah, Trish Squish, Maude Forbid, Britknee Breaker, and Etta Maims talked up past and future league bouts and promoted some upcoming events, from their efforts to champion socially responsible causes, like supporting the BARCC’s 3rd annual Walk for Change, to their delivery of deliciously delinquent music and dance events like the upcoming Dirty Derby Prom!
