Who Am I?

Who Am I?
A question many of us seek to (continually) answer; yet one only a few are ready to share. With respect to how this pertains to the aquabahn, what I can tell you now is very clear.
I have a deep appreciation for music, and for the humans who are dedicated to carrying it forward. Their individual efforts are humble and yet Herculean and in my own small way, efforts I try to match, albeit in my ‘extra curricular’ manner. In time I will offer up a proper “biography” but since that will require the coverage of some years (*wink*) writing it up accurately (or fabricating the lies I’ll need to interest you) will take some time.
Here again what I can share is that my roots in vinyl and recordings are seeded quite deeply, thanks to the fact that one of my father’s earliest employment endeavors was running distribution for a record label (from the trunk of his car). As result, in our home we always had no shortage of vinyl to play on working record players, through amps, speakers, headphones, and onto reel-to-reel, or other such recording devices.
Also key here was an educationally and creatively inclined family that encouraged us to find (and use) our “voice” and too, cherished our displays of true character. Perhaps this again is why I feel fortunate and that in some ways I have a responsibility to give back to those from whom I receive.
The result then is what you will find here on the aquabahn (my personal site) as well as my contributions to moodmat. Slices of how I have chosen to spend my time, knowing exactly what it is that I like, and letting people know what music moves me, as usually such movement translates into real action, be it making a mix, writing a review, or perhaps just sending a sincere thanks and respect to the persons responsible.
So then here at home on the aquabahn is where you can find me… doing what I do… which some say is what defines who you are.
